Gordon Unveils Monument in Champions' Park

 

JOLIET, Ill. -- 2006 USG SHEETROCK 400 winner and current NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series points leader, Jeff Gordon, helped kick off USG NASCAR weekend on Friday morning by unveiling his championship monument in Chicagoland Speedway's Champions' Park.

Hundreds of Jeff Gordon fans showed up early to cheer on their favorite driver and take photos of the newest addition to the "Walk of Champions."

Jeff Gordon's victory at Chicagoland Speedway last year marked his first victory at the 1.5-mile, D-shaped oval and 75th career NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series win.
